Dare to Dream #TPTSellerChallenge
WEEK #2

The challenge is to blog about my dreams and goals for my TPT business.
I created two Dare to Dream sheets.

More Time with my Boys!
I LOVE the extra income TPT has given me. My goal next year is to hire a cleaning ladyso the house is done and my family can just hang out! This may sound silly but I would love to come home to house already done.
The summers sure spoil me; my heart is the happiest when I am home with my boys!
I also love teaching, I love teaching a lot-I am excited to go to work everyday and enjoy it enormously but if I was able to stay home with my boys while they are still little it would be amazing.

Travel More!
My family in Rome before we moved back to the states.
I am married to an Air Force man so I have been lucky enough to travel a lot! We were stationed in Guam and Germany, so we went everywhere.  Now that we are stationed here in the states and have our boys it is a much more difficult and EXPENSIVE to travel far. I want my boys to be able to travel the U.S. and see other parts of the world. I want them to have experiences they will never forget.

Be Debt Free

My husband and I are well on our way to being debt free, expect for those lingering student loans! I would love to get these paid off sooner!

Gain more followers
I would love (as would any TPT seller) to have more followers. Not just on TPT but on FacebookPinterest and on my blog. I just got started with my blog and Facebook page, so I have a lot to learn. I am slowly getting more but cant wait for the future!

Turn more views into buys
I read a great post by Third in Hollywood

She said, “if an item has been viewed several times, but hasn’t sold  very much then it's a red flag.” she also has some great ideas on how to fix this problem. I am working hard to turn more views into sales!

Get more feedback
I LOVE FEEDBACK! I get just as excited about feedback as I do about sells!

We are loving our summer break but not the mosquitos! This idea came from my good friend, she puts her some of her citronella leaves in an arrangement.
I don't have as many fabulous flowers as her but my arrangement looked great outside and kept some mosquitos away. (just rub the leaves and the scent is released)

Makeover Madness? #TPTSellerChallenge
WEEK #1
It's the first week of the TPT Seller Challenge and this week's challenge is to choose an old product to makeover!
When I first started making resources for TPT I used Microsoft Word, didn't know at the time there was a much easier way! I LOVE POWERPOINT!! I am in the process of switching over all of my products. Wish I knew then what I know now :)! I chose to use my Community Helpers Unit for my week 1 challenge.

Here I go, I am starting my blog! I will start off by introducing myself. My name is Bobbi Bates. After graduating in May of 2004 I taught high school math for 2 years before marrying my Air Force husband and moving to Guam!! I taught 1st grade in Guam for 3 years and LOVED IT! Next, we were sent to Germany I taught preschool there and loved life. Our next journey took me to my hometown and popped me into the little school I am currently teaching at and loving! I taught Kinder for a year but moved to 2nd my favorite so far!can't wait to start blogging and sharing my classroom with you! Here is a picture of my little family!

Language Arts Reference Sheets

I use these Math (Freebie) and ELA sheets in our reference folders. We keep ours in the computer lab but they are great in the classroom as well. I added a bunch to these this year, I can't wait to see how much the kids use them!
I just spent the last week coloring them on bright pages and putting them into our lab folders for next year! I print mine in black and white but here is an example of what color looks like as well.  I put the Math and the ELA sheets in the same folder!
